The Personnel Office is involved with all aspects of staff services for all employee groups in the District. Areas of responsibility for the office include:

  • Recruitment and induction of new staff
  • Benefit administration for staff
  • Collective bargaining and contract administration
  • Supervision of payroll and staff compensation
  • Wage and salary administration for various employee groups

Batavia Public Schools is a K-12 Community Unit District that serves eight attendance centers. Batavia, Illinois, is located 40 miles west of Chicago in a growing suburban area.

There are three categories of employment with Batavia Public Schools. Determine which category of employment is appropriate for you and follow the corresponding link:

1) Certified Positions - consist of positions for which Illinois State teaching certificates are required, i.e., teachers, LRC directors, psychologists, social workers & counselors. Vacancy, employment and application information for certified positions is available only through the Kane County Human Resources Consortium.
2) Administrative Positions - consist of 10 and 12 month administrative positions. Such positions include district office administrative, principal, assistant principal and dean of students positions. Building administrative positions require a Type 75 Administrative Illinois Certificate.

3) Non-Certified Positions - consist of all positions for which an Illinois teaching certificate is not required, i.e., custodians, teacher aides, nurses and clerical staff.
